Application Process

Participating in Aaron’s Presents requires one thing: a desire to do something good, positive, and helpful for someone else–at least one person, animal or the environment. If you have an idea for something YOU would like to do that meets this requirement, please fill out our application below! We would love to provide the supplies and help you need, including rides, as well as a Mentor to support you every step of the way as you plan it and then DO IT! Don’t be nervous–you are the leader of the whole process, and we will have so much fun spreading joy around the community together.

If you have any questions, call, text or email us at (978) 809-5487 or apply@aaronspresents.org anytime!

IMPORTANT: If applying with a partner or as a group (max. of 7), each participant needs to submit a Part A. Only one Part B needs to be completed for each project.

A Parent Permission form is required and can be filled out here.

Selection Process

Because we do not want to miss out on meeting and working with any kids who want to use their creativity, thoughtfulness and skills to give something positive to others, our goal as an organization is to fund ALL feasible projects that are submitted to us with a completed application. If we do not believe that your project is feasible, we will work with you to see if there are ways to change small things about it to make it possible. We do not expect you to have it all planned out perfectly–that’s part of the learning process!

Also, if at any point we do not have sufficient funds to support more projects, your application will be placed on a waiting list until we do.

We look forward to hearing about your idea and reading an application that you (and your group, if you are not applying by yourself) have completed to the very best of your ability!

FAQ

1. Who is eligible to participate in Aaron’s Presents?
Any boy or girl who is in 8th grade or younger, and lives in Lawrence, Lowell or Merrimack Valley, MA may apply!

2. Is there an application fee?
No, it does not cost you anything to participate! All we require are your ideas and initiative, so no resources, money or other adult involvement is necessary. We know your parents and teachers already have a lot on their plates, so we provide all of the mentoring, materials and help you need!

3. How long do I have to complete my project?
We strive to help you complete your projects within approximately 3 months from when you apply, but it’s flexible depending on the project!

4. Can I apply as part of a group?
Yes! Groups are limited to 7 members.

5. What if I need help from adults to complete my project?
Every project is assigned an Aaron’s Presents Project Mentor. This person will strive to provide all of the adult help and guidance that you would need. Don’t worry, as long as you are doing everything that you are responsible for, you will be able to complete your project!

6. How do I receive the money that I need to do my project?
You will not actually receive any money. Instead, Aaron’s Presents will purchase the items or services needed to complete your project for you. In this way, we are able to show exactly how every dollar has been spent for each project. Integrity and transparency are core values at Aaron’s Presents.

7. Can I apply more than once?
Yes, we know that it is possible for kids to have more than one thoughtful idea! We encourage you to apply more than once, but you may only submit one application at any given time so that you are not carrying out more than one project at the same time.
